The collograph is one of the most inexpensive and most accessible printing techniques there is. The abundance of textures, fine lines, bold to the most subtle are immeasurable. It is a most addictive process. The plates are made from board, and then different textures, papers etc. are glued to the surface then shellaced several times. Then the ink is pushed into every nook and cranny to be wiped back and ready to run through the press. "Every time I pull a print from the press I am always pleasantly surprised."
